Booking a Program at Connecticut's Old State House

Museum of Curiosities

Before you call:

  • Select 2‐3 potential dates for your visit.
  • Know the number of students and chaperones attending.
  • Select the programs that meet your curriculum needs and let us know if there
    is a content area you would like emphasized.
  • Decide if you would like to eat lunch at the Old State House (there is a $25 fee
    for use of the lunchroom
    ).
  • Let the Old State House staff know if any students or teachers have special
    needs.
  • Have your school's phone number and address easily available.
  • Give us an email address that you check frequently.
  • Consider allowing 15 minutes or less for your students to shop at our specially designed Student Cart filled with educational, historical and citizenship-related items at reasonable prices or instead select a Field Trip Package (which includes a commemorative token of your students' Old State House visit for a small extra fee).  For more information, click on each alternative:

Fees: $4.00 per student. Fee includes admission for 1 adult per 10 students. Additional adults: $6.00 each.

Lunchroom Information

  • Groups are welcome to eat outside at no charge. Students may sit on the
    building's steps, the lawn or on the benches surrounding the Old State House.
  • There is a $25 fee for use of the lunchroom. It comfortably accommodates
    40‐50 students.
  • Groups interested in cafeteria‐style dining may purchase lunch at the
    adjacent Food Court at State House Square.
